VĂ Crit
This project is very relatable to my own as we both used circles to base our models off. This person related the little pods of circles to be the people and that the space is related using strings tied, but that wasn't literal and so she decided to try and make it more realistic. Making it realistic she decided to make the landscape by digging the holes into the land.
The models were made very nicely and this group was a lot better than what we had at first, as they were a lot more on track and were able to develop the models from the knowledge gained from the past Studios. The presentations were laid out very nicely and I was able to read what they were trying to convey through the drawings.
Cyborg Final Presentation
After a long night of archicad I managed to finish the 3 A3 pages required for the Final Presentation of the Cyborg. I had to present the locations in the world as well as the portals and the person falling down from the portal and landing in different positions. The final page is to have the perspective view in the site to help understand where it is in the world.
The feedback I got was that the lines in the world map didn't mean a lot and that they stood out too much. In architecture each line has to mean something or has a purpose, if there isn't a solid purpose or for it to be there then there is no point. The second page needs to show the grounding and have the possibility of the actual place being photoshopped onto the background. The final page needed to be a vector drawing and to be not too colourful.

Crit for my Developed Cyborg House
I developed it so the rooms would have a greater distance from each other e.g. one in North Pole and one in South Pole. I decided to brainstorm where the rooms would be: kitchen, entrance, lounge, bedroom, toilet, gym, and wardrobe.
Kitchen - Paris, because it is famous for cheese and wine and a lot other delicacies.
Entrance - China (next to the Great Wall of China), because it has a grand entrance.
Lounge - A Stranded Island, because it provides natural sounds, smells and a soothing environment.
Bedroom - New Zealand, because it has the freshest air in the world (least polluted)
Toilet - Next to a Waterfall, because of how relaxing it would be listening to the sound of the waterfall.
Gym - Russia, because it would considered as one of the fittest countries.
Wardrobe - LA, because it is known for a lot of famous clothing designs and its busy streets.
The feedback that I was given was to incorporate my cyborg into the rooms (the stages at which it falls) and also to have the cyborg fall at different heights (having the portal come out from the floor and closing). I also need to show on the world map where each of the places are to show the distance. The portals need to be shown inside of the buildings or the pages that I present. The final thing is to have more meshes inside of the building (taking photos of an object and putting it on 123d catch).

House for my Cyborg
For this session with the tutors we were required to hang up both our cyborg as well as a vague idea for the house for our cyborg. We were then mixed up and each of us were assigned to someone else's work, from that we had to interpret what the cyborg did and to read the house visually (without reading the text). This exercise gave me a better understand of how strong pictures are and how to lay them out.
After the exercise, each group had to see the tutor to get feedback from them. The feedback that I got was that I could make the distances of each room to be a larger distance e.g. putting a room in north pole and another in the south pole. Also, I could have the portals either on the floor or the roofs rather than just to have it on the side walls.

Developed cyborg
My final cyborg is a cyborg who has the ability to land on his feet if its more than 5m from the ground. When it's less than 5m from the ground it will land on its hands and when its less than 3m it will be forced to land on its side. The cyborg will be wearing gloves and boots which have the ability to absorb the impact from the floor but the cyborg's legs and arms will have more than 1 joint to withstand the remaining force that wasn't absorbed by the boots and gloves. The cyborg's skin is elastic and it inflates itself by inhaling a large quantity of air and it has the ability to inflate which ever part it wants, but the downfall of this is that it uses a lot of energy to do, so it will be last resort.
The feedback I got was that I should colour code the gloves and the boots as well as showing the joints inside of the arms and legs. I also need to colour code the inflated parts of the body when it lands sideways.
